“Minneapolis, together, we have faced adversity head on and producedreal results. We are the national leader in affordable housing policy. Weare developing affordable and deeply affordable housing at an unprecedented rate, keeping Minneapolis affordable and accessible to everyone. We are increasing the ranks of our police department with diverse officers committed to our community. We established the Office of Community Safety and we built a 24/7 mental health emergency response program.” said Frey. “While the trajectory of Minneapolis is strong, I amrunning for reelection to protect that progress and to keep fighting tomake Minneapolis a safer, more affordable, and more prosperous city for everyone. “I’m running because with everything going on in the world, experience matters. I’m running because I recognize that the opposite of DonaldTrump’s extremism is not the opposite extreme. The opposite ofextremism is good, thoughtful governance,” said Frey. “I have stood up for what’s best for our city even when it was not politically expedient to do so. It’s time for us to love our city more than our ideology. Together, we can make Minneapolis a national model for progressive governance that is laser-focused not on politics, but ondelivering for residents.”
