Mayor Jacob Frey Announces Record-Breaking Fundraising Totals for 2025 Reelection Campaign
MINNEAPOLIS – February 1, 2025 – Mayor Jacob Frey’s reelection campaign today announced exceptionally strong fundraising figures, positioning him as the clear frontrunner in the 2025 Minneapolis mayoral race. The campaign reports more than $203,000 in cash on hand heading into 2025, bolstered by $108,503 raised over the course of 2024.
“I’m humbled by the outpouring of support from across Minneapolis.” said Mayor Frey. “These strong fundraising numbers are a testament to the broad coalition we’ve built. In this moment of political extremes, people are desperate for steady, thoughtful leadership that does what is right for Minneapolis. I’m energized to continue working alongside our residents to deliver that leadership.”
Mayor Frey enters 2025 with four times more cash on hand than any other mayoral campaign. The total of $108,553 raised last year came from more than 450 individual donors, over 90% of whom live in Minnesota.
The campaign also shattered its previous January record, bringing in over $134,000 leading up to and immediately following Mayor Frey’s January 29 campaign launch—more than triple what he raised in January four years ago.
With record-breaking totals and robust cash on hand, Mayor Frey’s campaign enters the election year on strong footing and looks forward to maintaining its momentum throughout 2025.
